We left Le Meridien, then headed to Ao Por (about 45 minutes away on the northeast side of the island) to meet everyone at an amazing seafood restaurant, creatively named Pier 88 Seafood Terminal Restaurant. It was the best food I've had the entire trip.
Mussels in curry - the green things are bound by a slice of chili pepper:
Fried rice and soft shell crab:
The restaurant had cool decor and a pond:
The girls and I then headed to Phuket Town to explore. Phuket town is known for its Sino-Portuguese architecture. I don't think anyone knows where this name came from, but they are basically colorful Chinese row houses
It was a really cute town. We also found a lot of cats. Here is cat number one with Yuliya.
We found a super cute bookstore and cafe where I had an amazing passion fruit juice.
We then headed to the oldest Chinese herb store in Phuket.
After that we walked to a very beautiful Chinese temple. Here are two cats we met along the way.
Photos of the Chinese temple:
Our last stop was the cat cafe. You have to each buy a drink, and every two people in your group also has to order a dessert. I instantly became friends with this Siamese (Thailands native cat).
Yuliya is displeased with the cat pillows:
Tomorrow we scuba dive!
